The Guided Walk Experience

Created by experienced walkers out of a love to share their favourite beauty spots with others, the Hidden Peaks Walks set a new standard for luxury outdoor adventure geared towards developing an appreciation of the Australian bush and environmentally sustainable practices.

Tailored for walkers who want a physical challenge without sacrificing life’s luxuries, Hidden Peaks Walks are aimed at local, interstate and international guests looking for a unique and lasting connection with the Australian bush.

The first of the Hidden Peaks Walk experiences, Spicers Private Walk, traverses the scenic trails of one of South East Queensland’s largest private nature refuges - Spicers Peak Nature Refuge - and ventures into the untouched environment of the Main Range National Park World Heritage areas.

Trekking between approximately five or ten kilometers each day, the experience allows participants to view and contribute to the preservation of Australia’s natural bio-diversity by sustaining the refuge forever for native wildlife.

For a maximum group of ten walkers, attended by two guides, you are ensured of safe and pleasurable walking at a pace where you will experience and learn about the the Australian bush, its food and wine and enjoy the company of like-minded guests.

You will provided with a medium sized backpack to carry your water, essential clothes and toiletries items for the duration of the walk. This will be light - around 7.5kg. All your other needs are provided for at the luxury tent site and your lodge luggage is portaged to the Lodge for your last night and day relaxation. Walks include a complimentary private coach transfer from and to Brisbane.The coach delivers your lodge luggage. Where, on arrival, you will find it in your Lodge room.

Walks can be modified to suit the fitness and goals of a particular group. On day two of the 4-day walk, these could include shorter walks around near the luxury tent site. Alternatively, more strenuous walking can be arranged that include climbing peaks close to the tent site.
